Aronofsky, director of the surprise hit 'Black Swan,' which looks as if it's going to crack the $100 million mark in box office, agreed to introduce the award for Best Cinematography to Matthew Libatique, his longtime friend and D.P. Aronofsky said that when he heard he was being asked to present, 'I thought I was giving Armond White the compassion award because if you don't have something you should get it.' (Or words to that effect.) Whoosh! Who knew this year's awards might actually be interesting. Aronofsky then said, 'Seriously, keep it up because you give all of us another reason not to read New York Press .'New Yorkers may feel differently, but I read the New York Press for one reason: Armond White.
