| Ashcroft: Not as qualified as a dead man for any office. |
Ten years ago, I was chuckling over John Ashcroft's defeat by a dead man. I was later illuminated by a friend as to how much better better a choice the corpse was. I didn't know what a nightmare he was then, nor could I have guessed what a disaster he would turn into as W's Attorney General a little later.
The dead, it turns out are still winning elections a decade later. This time, I will start with the assumption the voters did, in fact, elect the least harmful candidate.
