RALEIGH, N.C. -- North Carolina Rep. Heath Shuler said Thursday he would consider running for speaker of the U.S. House if he's re-elected because the chamber needs a more moderate leader.I almost did a spit-take when I heard this the other day. Shuler is one of those guys you look at and wonder why he's a Democrat, blue dog to the bone.
