RALEIGH, N.C. — Dr. Mike Beitler, the Libertarian candidate for Senate, spoke Saturday at a rally in Raleigh where activists had assembled to promote the legalization of marijuana.
“If my neighbor is smoking marijuana, drinking a beer or over-indulging in chocolate, that's the adult's decision to make,” Beitler said.
Of course, Libertarians are so wrong-headed on so many other fronts, it's hard to give them much credit for being right on the few things on which they do have a rational perspective. I'm not a fan of the mainstream media marginalizing small party voices -- especially when the outsider voice is in the right -- but I got a chuckle anyways out of their merciless picture taking mockery.
