Tornadoes hit Western, Central Mass.

Tornadoes hit Western, Central Mass. - The Boston Globe

Tornadoes tore through Western and Central Massachusetts yesterday, killing at least four people, injuring an untold number, and reducing schools, churches, and homes to splinters along its destructive path.
It looks like Springfield took the brunt of it, but it's not clear if the extent of the damage has been reported yet. So far I've heard all clear signs from family and friends in and near the Pioneer Valley. My Facebook feed is loaded with storm stories again this morning.

The Green Hornet (2011) - Flickchart

The Green Hornet (2011) - Flickchart

Yes, it falls somewhere between lowbrow and nobrow but I have to admit I liked this more than, well, I should probably admit. Its biggest flaw was (going to sound like an old man here, I know) the gruesome deaths of the villains. This was a light-hearted comic book romp that didn't need a shot of [spoiler alert ...]  the big bad impaled through both eyes -- it's not that I disapprove of extreme violence, in certain contexts (Dead Alive, for instance) it is the freaking bomb, but here it was just jarring. Seth Rogen and Jay Chou worked well together, the stoopid plot wasn't the worst thing ever, and it came together just enough for me to give it a thumbs up. But, let's face it, I'm an idiot. You probably won't like it.

To get a sense of just how big it is, imagine a major highway with two lanes on either side and a grassy median in the middle. Driving a crawler down that highway would cover up the entire thing. 'So you're driving on all four lanes, plus the grass in between,' Couch says.
