A.Word.A.Day -- tmesis

A.Word.A.Day --tmesis:
MEANING:
noun: Stuffing a word into the middle of another word.
Examples: a-whole-nother, abso-bloody-lutely.
Cool. I didn't know there was a word for this. Shouldn't the definition be more like "a word stuffed in the middle of another word," though? As written, it sounds like tmesis is a verb: the action of stuffing the word in?
