Western Harnett teacher charged with having sex with student

Rodney Donnell Ellis, 38, of the 800 block of Brookhannah Court in Fuquay-Varina, was charged Thursday with one count of a sex offense with a student. Bail was set at $10,000.

Good grief, the headlines out of Fuquay the last couple weeks have been disturbing. This teacher lived not far (less than a half mile) from the location of the other, even more distressing news item I posted earlier this morning. And, not all that far from where a studen was struck by a car and killed near the high school last week.
