On Thursday the Roberts family was honored at a celebration of their homecoming to the new house in Fuquay-Varina. The military was there in force, but so were civilians, some of whom had worked in the Coming Home Program and others simply interested in supporting the project with their presence.
... the most exciting moment for Stan Roberts came when the Marine credited with saving his life in Iraq appeared on the scene bringing the keys to the new house. Stan had no idea Sgt. Roberts said the only thing he could suggest was that he would like to invite the Marine who saved his life in Iraq, however, the two had not been in touch since the incident that sent Roberts to the hospital and Stan did not know where to find his buddy.
