Apollo 12 was the sixth manned mission in the Apollo program and the second to land on the Moon. The mission was commanded by Charles 'Pete' Conrad, and launched in November 1969, four months after Apollo 11.
Apollo 11 gets all the glory. Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins are household names to this day (well, maybe not Collins: went all that way only to come back without setting foot on surface) but I at least couldn't have named or picked a member of the second crew to land on the moon out of lineup. November 14 is the anniversary of that second crew's successful mission.
