It’s that time of year again. The first Thursday of December marks the day when the people of Fuquay-Varina come together as a community to start the official holiday season by lighting the Town’s Christmas tree. This year, please join the Town of Fuquay-Varina in celebrating this time honored tradition on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7 pm in the large municipal parking lot at the corner of East Vance Street and Main Street.
That's right, "the holiday season." If I hear so much as one person whine about the word 'holiday' like they're being oppressed by it, while the 'Christmas tree' is being lit, I'm officially declaring my intent to print up a bunch "War on X-mas" t-shirts with a picture of my gorilla tree-topper on the front:
